MY STORY

Hi, I’m Bronwen Murray — an actor, advocate, and lifelong storyteller.

From Shakespearean heroines to modern Westerns, my passion is bringing characters to life with authenticity and emotional truth. I first became eligible to join SAG-AFTRA in 1995. Working across film, television, and stage, I currently serving as a New Mexico Board Member of SAG-AFTRA and Chair the Legislative Committee.

Now, I’m stepping up to run for first vice president of SAG-AFTRA New Mexico because I believe in the power of our union to protect, uplift, and inspire working actors across our state. I’m committed to fighting for more opportunities for our actors, better on-set protections, and ensuring our state tax incentives remain strong — because our stories matter, and so do the people who tell them.

Offstage, I’m also a dedicated organizer and recovering political consultant. As a homicide survivor, I’ve turned personal tragedy into purpose, working alongside law makers during six legislative sessions to help pass meaningful laws that protect families and strengthen communities. I’ve built coalitions, crafted policy, and mobilized advocates — always with an eye toward justice and healing.

Whether I’m on set, on stage, or at the negotiating table, I bring the same drive: to speak with purpose, stand for justice, and create with heart.

Let’s be bold — together.
